Hayesville, Ohio

William Strong (mayor of New York City) and Rev. Sheldon Jackson (an explorer and missionary to Alaska) studied at the Vermillion Institute in Hayesville.

Citizens are restoring the Hayesville Opera House which was built in 1886. It sits at the southeast corner of the Lincoln Highway (Route 30-A) and S.R. 60. Check the website for silent movies and other activities.
